30 gram silver coin China Panda 2022
The Chinese panda silver coin was first minted in 1983; until 1985, the silver panda had a fineness of .900 with a gross weight of 27 grams of silver. From 1987 to 2015, the Panda coin was issued with a fineness of .999 and a fine weight of 31.1 grams of silver. From 2016, the popular China Panda silver bullion coin will appear for the first time in a completely new coin format: grams instead of ounces. The China Panda 1 ounce will now become the China Panda 30 g. From now on, China Panda silver coins will be available in the sizes 30 g, 150 g and 1 kg. The large silver versions were minted until 1997 (12 ounces) and 1996 (5 ounces). From 1998-2005, the silver panda was minted in a 1 kg version (99.9% proof). The China Panda silver coin is also offered by the China Mint as a collector coin in platinum, palladium, colored and bi-metal. The mintages here are very low, especially in the first years of mintage, and are traded with a correspondingly high collector's premium.
